Out of the numerous hip-hop music drops and some track discoveries this summer, “The Conversation” by Quiz seemed to find its place on my top list of faves, and for sure, other listeners will agree with me on this.
Quiz is a creative force, and there is no denying this. His power comes from his words; his realistic description of reality and persuasive way of articulating things get his way to the listeners. He is able to package it into some beautiful tracks with the collaborative skills of the Beat District and Leah Writes.
While Quiz shared that the single is about the hip-hop industry and the black community, I believe that The Conversation is a track for all people. Released last September 18, 2024, along with 11 other tracks from his Album “Grateful” this track features some creative lines that talk about life, struggles, music, and potential.
“The Conversation” featured the skills and talent of Quiz in delivering messages through a song. His performance was great, as he threw verses and verses in a clear and succinct manner. Paired with some catchy and structured lines, the unique instrumentals with the undertones of Leah Write’s dulcet voice, and the heavy bass and beats from the Beat District, this song is an anthem for those of us who struggle through life.
I personally loved the part where Quiz made some lines, which made it seem like he was talking to the listeners personally. He made it clear that if you like your music and if you like what you’re doing, try to be unique and do things in a different way. He’s so real when he says that no one is exempt from difficulties, and ultimately, in order to become successful, perseverance, dedication, and resilience do it for you.
I’m sure enough that The Conversation will be a great addition to your playlist. It is unique, it is well-written and well-produced, and at the same time, it is heartfelt.
