“The Journey”: An Experience You Wouldn’t Want To Miss

Gear up, because Transcending Into the Unknown’s EP will take you on a literal journey of music and quite possibly imagery as you navigate through the songs. The moments after pressing play feels like the uncertainty and excitement of going on a trip to a destination you’re unfamiliar with.

“Winternight” consists of mellow, tame instrumentals paired up with vocals containing a certain rasp in them, creating a fitting yet contrasting flow, as the song seems to be narrating something in the setting of cold, winter night. Listeners then realize that they would get to hear multiple recurring vocals throughout the record, each of them having personalities of their own. The song then gets wiped into another section of complete rock, composed of intricate melodies and guitar parts with the vocals playing back and forth.

These songs are intriguing to listen to because they hold a sense of in-depth expression within each one, and the production’s phenomenal as all components manage to see the light of day, or go in complete harmony with one another.

Moving forward with “Giants – 2025 Remastered version”, comes with a very rock n’ roll-esque vibe, a well-seasoned riff that only leads and builds up to the main event. The layering is great with the guitar, and the instrumental shines a bit more in this track; the harmonies of the vocals acting as support to carry out and complete the intended ambience. The solos are great, too: treated as an expression by how frequent it turns up, arranged in different ways as well.

“The Valley” is the song where listeners are most likely to figure out why this EP is titled “The Journey”; the lyrics narrate a man in a valley selling rainbows and nameless horses, and just like that everything makes sense — not to mention endearing. The guitar is clear, making you love the tone by how clean it sounds. The calm demeanor of the vocals and the wickedness of the instruments surprisingly work.

On the calmer side of things (at first) comes “Chronos – 2025 Remastered version”. We say ‘at first’ because the rock and metal counterpart comes in after the neutral and tranquil introduction. It features lines such as “Take a look in your mirror / Do you see the hypocrisy?”. What’s more is that it’s split in three sections, really getting you immersed in the soundscape.

Transcending Into the Unknown has this uniqueness when it comes to creating melodies and progressions one would only get to experience in their music alone. “Noir” contains a blues vibe, and at this point, everyone should realize that not one song is similar to another in this EP. Despite almost being an instrumental track, the songwriting in this one nails the structure, complimenting the background greatly.

The last track, “Transcending Into the Unknown – 2025 Remastered version” is a completely instrumental track to wrap up everything – they let the melodies, layers, and guitar speak for everything. It’s great how they can make the guitar weep and wail, showcasing brilliance, skill, and emotion.

Overall, it’s a great EP to jam to, get inspired, or if you’re simply looking for new faces to get into, then “The Journey” is a great candidate.
