Valiancy’s Newest Track, “Voices,” Is the Purest Art You’ll Ever Hear

In the ever-evolving landscape of lyricism and storytelling, I firmly believe that the best stories are written and performed in immense suffering. Valiancy’s newest track, ‘Voices,’ is a clear contender for that.

Voices starts with this atmospheric but uneasy synth line that perfectly sets up the whole track. That bassy synth in the beginning goes hand in hand with that one liner synth. It sounds like an intro to a mainstream pop song that has a dark undertone to it.

The arrangement and progression of this track is, simply put, poetic and mysterious. It doesn’t have a wow factor to it, but it supports the whole story arc of the track. If you listen closely to the instrumental part after the 2nd chorus, it feels and sounds like what a heartbeat should feel because of how strong and unfiltered the lyrics are.

What I specifically love about this track is the lyrics. It’s dark and raw. It talks heavily about suffering, chaos, depression, and anxiety from phrases like / I don’t know where my pain comes from / Cause all those voices, they’re calling me / They’re calling me in my head, yeah, I wish I was dead / which added emotional heaviness to not just me but to anyone that’s going to listen to this track because it mirrors the things that some of us can’t and won’t say outloud.

Valiancy’s newest track, ‘Voices,’ is art in its purest and unfiltered form. As cruel as it sounds, I’m a firm believer that suffering is what makes art beautiful. You can’t make diamonds in good times. You need to be under constant and epic pressure.
