Glass Noose is Back To Bring the House Down With the Album “Glazz Nooze.”

This is a great day for all our emo-punk people out there because Glass Noose released their fourth album, “Glazz Nooze,” on August 23, 2024, bringing in some much-needed dose of rock in the house. This 11-track collection shows off the skill and the character of sound brought by Tristan Zemtseff, who has written, recorded, and produced this whole album. This is a nostalgic-sounding collection that will leave you wishing for some good, old-fashioned blast of emo-pop punk that’s unfortunately not that trend nowadays. So, here’s Glass Noose’s Glazz Nooze to quench that thirst.

As a long-time fan of this genre, you really wouldn’t know what to expect from this album, but then again, from the initial sound brought by the track “To Be Broken,” I already knew I was a goner. This album is personal like it was written out of the experience of the artist. Another point that I want to make is how this album confronts themes like loneliness, isolation, and fear, which makes it very relatable and connects to the listeners. With this initial track, it has this simple song structure and lyricism, yet the catchy riffs will absolutely get you. You will feel the grit, brokenness, and resilience through this track.

With “13teen,”  the track features this core-touching emo-punk instrumental piece that will surely evoke nostalgic feelings because of its 2000s rock sound vibe, while “The Stranger is Whatever May Come” creates this perfect shift from the genre as the track opens with some great piano notes brought by Michya’s elegant play. Along with these are tracks “C093542,”  “Nothingburger,” and “Some people pray” which are also featured on this album.

In “Sharpen the Blade,”  the band seems to connect with themes that go in between hope and frustration. It is a beautifully written song that highlights the importance of making choices and focuses on how complex personal struggles are too. “Everyone’s Favorite Song,” on the other hand, is definitely a favorite as they talk about transformation and legacy with the added effect of great musical production brought by synths, intense drums, and rhythmic guitars.

There’s no denying that this collection is packed with emotions, just like how the track “Parts One and Two” talks about the deep sense of sadness and existential angst that a person could feel. “The Milk in the Tea,”  which I’ve listened to while doing some of my chores, is a track that will make you think because of the themes of existentialism, escapism, and perfectionism that it covers. Need I say more that this track is a solid 10/10 rock in roll (I want to highlight how I LOVED the bass parts, though). And speaking of 10/10, we’re ending this whole collection with the track SORROVV, which is a potent track that features intense screamo vocals accentuated by a gritty emo-punk sound.

Glazz Nooze is an album that will bring in the reality of sadness, complex emotions, and intensity to the listeners through the eyes of the narrator. It’s like watching a scene from a first-person POV, which will make you think how intense and personal this album is while the artist bears their heart and soul through each word in its lyrics. The record will definitely make your heartache, but at the same time, you will feel the grit and angst that each song carries. Glass Noose has done it again and released some good stuff. So, don’t forget to check on it. Glazz Nooze is available for streaming on all your favorite streaming platforms and connect with Glass Noose to know more about them and their music.
