Duo Flora Cash Comes Back with a Sincere 4th Album “Behind Every Beautiful Thing.”

Flora Cash is releasing its 4th most anticipated album entitled “behind every beautiful thing” on October 24th this year. The duo, Shpresa Lleshaj, and Cole Randall, excitedly share their music and growth for the world to hear—an 11-track collection that features the signature sound and vibe of Flora Cash. It is mysterious, and heartfelt, and plays stories about love, life, and everything in between.

The album opens with a deep and slow-burn track, “Should’ve dressed for the Event.” From the get-go, you will be welcomed by the sincere vocals of the artist. The song features dark brooding piano and passionate vocals from Cole. It is an emotionally packed track that eventually unfolds into a situation of understanding that a relationship is about to end while acknowledging the fact that if the situation permits, they can meet again. It is a great track to open the whole collection; it is a simple yet good track with clever lyrical content.

Shpresa takes over for the track “Just Wanna Feel You” as her isolated vocals come through throughout the piece. It is a chill bop that talks about the uncertainties of love in a certain situation. “Like No One Could,” on the other hand, opens with notes from a cello and a vocal tinge with some R&B vibes from Cole. The dark piano for this track accentuated the sincere message of the track, wherein uncertainties and insecurities in their relationship are apparent yet this person will love their partner like no other person can. Shpresa then comes in and answers Cole’s concern through her lines, making this whole track a sincere message to each other about their love and promises in their relationship.

My Ex Would’ve Left By Now” is a personal favorite. This track has a great tone—it is catchy, and most definitely could pass on the likes of some top tracks in the current mainstream trends. This is where Cole delivers a grateful message to his partner for being patient and understanding toward him and their relationship, most especially as he stated that he has a lot of shortcomings. It is a genuine song that displays the power of their love and how it carries their relationship with apologies for the situation and promises to do better as its foundation.

The duo then ups its game through the track “Morning Comes,” an acoustic track that talks about a failing relationship and how it still carries on although it’s scarred. Shpresa sings the truth about being honest and ruthless in relationships, and yet as the song carries, it envelops a situation where goodbyes are already welcomed. This song is sincere and authentic—just like the other songs released on this album like “Baby, I love you,” “The Night Is Young,” “I’m Tired,” “HOLY Water,” and “Dragon,” where Cole and Shpresa sing their hearts out.

The album ends with an instrumental track “The Builder” featuring another talented artist, “För J. Blom”. It gives off a theatrical and cinematic vibe through the chord progression of the piano in the introduction with a hint of glass shards scraping sounds and then notes from violins. This is yet again another favorite from this album because of the emotion and artistry that it carries. It is sincere, authentic, and artistic—this is art in sound. As the song progresses, it intensifies into a broader sound; it carries mystery and story on each note played. It could honestly be a part of a BGM for shows like Game of Thrones and the Chronicles of Narnia. It is a five-minute goodness that earns its rightful place as a strong closing for the album.

Overall, “behind every beautiful thing” is an album that you don’t usually hear on the current folk/indie-pop scene. Flora Cash did a great job on their mixes and genre blend for this release. It is a promising release! The growth in their sound and musicality is apparent in each of their tracks, and the quality of the songs that they featured is most definitely great. I wouldn’t say that this album is perfect, yet it is an enjoyable listen—the lyrics were great, the instrumentation is most definitely done with so much care, and the vocals are also good! I can’t wait to know more and hear more from Flora Cash! Pre-save and watch out for “behind every beautiful thing,” streaming on all your favorite platforms on October 24th!
